How do I access a Saved Search?

Once logged into the system, click My Account > Saved Searches. Each saved search is identified by the Name and Client Matter fields. Find the search you are looking for and click the Magnifying Glass search icon button at the right side of the row. This will re-execute the search and show the most updated results for this search. There will be no additional charge within 120 days of the original search.

How do I access my Billing History?

You may use the drop-down menu in the top navigation bar - click My Account > Billing History.

How do I print selected or all pdf copies of the Awards?

When you execute a search, the Results Page will display a summary record of each Award. There are three options you can choose from to print PDF's of the Awards.

Print Selected Awards as PDF

Choose the Awards you would like to print by checking the box next to "Select for Batch Printing". Then select "Print Selected Awards".

Print All Awards from this page as PDF

Select "Print All Awards from this page", and click "Print" and all Awards for that single Arbitrator will print consecutively.

Print All Awards as PDF

Select "Print All Awards" and click "Print" if you would like to print every Award from your search results. (Every arbitrator in a search).

How many names can I search at a time on ARBchek?

ARBchek users may search up to 35 names at a time. ARBchek LITE users may search only ten names at a time.

Is training available for ARBchek?

What are the differences between ARBchek and ARBchek LITE?

Both ARBchek and ARBchek Lite are online search applications that access a custom database which summarizes nearly 55,000 individual securities arbitration Awards. While the power of ARBchek is displayed in detailed summary reports, the Awards are also available in PDF format.

What happens if I accidentally search the wrong name?

ARBchek subscribers should contact SAC at searches@sacarbitration.com or call 973-761-5880, and an administrator will direct you to the correct name and credit your account for accidental incorrect searches.

What if the Arbitrator name that I am searching for does not appear on the Arbitrator Name Index?

Try using the "Quick Search Tool" field, entering part or all of the Arbitrator's name to filter your search and check the results. If you do not find the Arbitrator you are looking for via the Alpha menu or the Quick Search tool then this Arbitrator has no Awards.

What if there are two similar names in the Arbitrator Name Index for one Arbitrator, how do I choose the correct name?

If you are not sure of the correct name to search refer to the Arbitrator Disclosure Sheet provided by FINRA to determine the full name. If there is still a question contact SAC at searches@sacarbitration.com or call 973-761-5880, and administrator will direct you to the correct name.

What information will I need to supply to create an account?

To create an account you simply must provide your name, firm name, address, and contact information. You do not need to supply credit card data to create an account.

What is an upsale on ARBchek Lite?

While ARBchek LITE is a free application, there are three paid "extras" that you may activate for an entire page's results or a la carte. They include:

Show the Professional field

You may purchase the valuable Professional field for $5 per Arbitrator name. This may be purchased and activated after the initial free search.

Batch printing

You may Print All of the Awards or just Select Awards for $5.

Who Wins

This option shows the claimant wins and respondent wins in each record for one particular Arbitrator. The cost is $5.

What is Awards Plus?

  • The Award has Back-up documents.
  • The Award has related Pre-Hearing Litigation (PHL) or Post-Award Litigation (PAL) summarized in the Securities Litigation Alert. If there is PHL/PAL data for the record you can link directly to the summaries.
  • The Award includes an explanation of the Panel's decision. Explained Awards link to those summaries provided by the Securities Awards Monthly (SAM) publication.
  • We provide a directory of such AAA/JAMS Arbitrators. Check the directory and order an information sheet about the Awards for delivery to you. Click this icon when you see it to review the directory.

Will I be able to make notations on charges for easy chargeback?

Yes, you may enter in Client Matter data so that every search is tagged with any notation that makes it quicker, easier and more accurate for client chargebacks.

Are there any price discounts in the paid ARBchek system?

ARBchek subscribers will receive a 25-40% discount on any names searched. The more names searched, the greater the discount. Learn more about our volume discounts.

How much does it cost to be an ARBchek subscriber?

An annual subscription to ARBchek is $395. See the benefits becoming a subscriber.

How much does it cost to search the ARBchek search engine?

There are 3 major pricing structures:

  • ARBchek LITE users may receive a simple summary for free.
  • ARBchek users may receive a full summary for $40 per Arbitrator name searched.
  • ARBchek subscribers may receive a full summary an Arbitrator for $30 or less. (The amount of the discount depends on the number of names searched at one time. Learn more about our volume discounts.)

May I charge searches to my account and receive an invoice?

If you become a subscriber to ARBchek then you may search ARBchek freely without entering a credit card. An invoice will be sent monthly for your purchases.

May I pay for purchases online with my credit card?

Yes, you may use your credit card via our secure, encrypted shopping cart.

How do I cancel my account?

To delete or cancel your account, please send an email to: help@arbitrationrecords.com with subject line: "Please Delete My Account". Please include your contact information and email address.

Is my personal information secure on ARBchek?

ARBchek has taken great care in building the ARBchek system and employs strict security measures and state-of-the-art technology to ensure the safety of your data.

Will ARBchek notify me if my subscription is nearing expiration?

ARBchek will let you know that your account is nearing expiration in two ways. First, it will display a warning message in your Account section. Also, the system will send you a weekly email notification when your account is one month from expiration.

Do I need special software to view, print, or download the forms on this site?

Yes, some forms on this site may require downloading and installing the free Adobe Acrobat Reader.

How do I enable cookies on my browser?

To enable cookies on your browser:

If you are using Internet Explorer 5.x

  • On the top menu bar, click Tools; then click Internet Options.
  • Click the Security tab.
  • Select the Internet web content zone to specify its security settings for this site URL.
  • Make sure the security level is set to Medium, Medium-low, or Low. The High security level does not allow cookies. If you have selected the Custom security level, click on the Custom Level button and scroll down to where it says Cookies. "Allow cookies that are stored on your computer" should be enabled. Click OK.
  • Click OK.

  • On the top menu bar, open the Tools menu (Windows) or the Firefox menu (Mac). When a drop-down menu appears, pick Options for Windows and Preferences for a Mac.
  • Click the Privacy tab. Under the History section, click the Firefox will: drop down menu, and then click Use custom settings for history.
  • Check the Accept cookies from sites check box.

May I use the ARBchek system on any computer?

ARBchek is designed to run on:

  • Microsoft Windows 2000 or higher
  • Mac OS 10.2 or higher

What are "cookies" and how are they used on this site?

Certain features of this web site require cookies to be enabled on your browser. A cookie is a very small text file placed on your hard drive by a web server. Cookies contain information about who you are and your preferences, and are used to provide personalized services when you visit the web site. Only the information that you provide or the choices you make while visiting the web site can be stored in a cookie.
